Facile Futures is looking for new members to join its Board of Directors.
We are looking for individuals who share a passion for inclusion, people and community. Specifically, we see a need for members with expertise in marketing, finance, governance, and/or entrepreneurship.
We are eager to find people who can support Facile’s growth and deepen our understanding of the experiences of people with a disability, their families, and the community at large. We also value diverse lived experience, and welcome the unique perspectives and strengths that diverse identities bring to our organization’s leadership.
How to Apply:
Those interested in applying will be required to fill out an online questionnaire using this form:

The deadline to apply is 5:00 PM on February 13, 2026.
All completed applications will be reviewed by the Facile Futures Board, and successful applicants will be contacted directly to arrange an interview. Only successful applicants will be contacted.
New board positions will begin as soon as possible for those applicants who are successful at the interview phase. The first board meeting following this round of recruitment will be held on April 21, 2026.
About the Role:
Facile Futures Board members are expected to uphold their fiduciary duties of care, loyalty, and stewardship, while demonstrating a strong commitment to the organization’s mission, sustainability, and growth. We are seeking business- and entrepreneurial-minded individuals who can provide strategic leadership, exercise sound financial oversight, and actively support the development of a diverse, and resilient funding portfolio.
Board members contribute to strengthening Facile Futures’ role as a leader in planning and family engagement across six counties by supporting organizational strategy, accountability, and long-term viability.
The basic time commitment for Facile Futures Board members includes nine board meetings per year (once per month, except in July, August and December). These meetings are held virtually. The Board also makes an effort to meet in-person 1-2 times per year, in an effort to maintain a close leadership team. Attendance is expected for those that have the ability to travel.
Upon request, and on an ad hoc basis, members may be asked to support the Executive Director through strategic networking, participation in fund development proposals, and contributions to business development planning. Board members may be asked to attend select events by invitation.
The Board is expected to support the organization’s ability to respond to our community’s evolving needs, and the individual priorities of people and families by staying abreast of community conversations, agendas, and emerging issues. They should then use this knowledge to inform strategic decision making and organizational direction.
If you have any questions about this role or the application process, please contact Emily Branje, Executive Director, at emily@facilefutures.ca
