Exciting Things Ahead for the Perth County Family Network

We know that one of the best parts of being part of the Perth County Family Network is connecting with other families who just get it. Whether you’re looking for new ideas, someone to listen, or simply a chance to enjoy good company, we’ve got lots of opportunities to come together over the coming months.

This year, we’ll be hosting three Family Gatherings where we can catch up, share stories, ask questions, and support one another. These gatherings are relaxed, welcoming, and open to everyone—whether you’ve been part of the network for years or are joining us for the first time.

We’re also excited to start a Safe & Secure Book Club in Perth. Together we’ll explore planning priorities that support our loved ones to build good lives and that give family members peace of mind about the future. While working towards the future, we can share our own experiences along the way. We are very excited about this opportunity because many families in Perth have been greatly impacted by the chance to be involved in this book club. This is an opportunity for families to plan alongside one another with the support of a facilitator. It will be free to families thanks to the Ontario Caregiver Organization’s family network grants funded by MCCSS. You don’t need to have all the answers—just bring your curiosity and your perspective.

Summer wouldn’t be complete without our Family Retreat! It’s a chance to slow down, enjoy great food, spend time outdoors, and simply have fun together. We hope it will be a day filled with laughter, new friendships, and time to reconnect with families from across Perth County.

We’ll also be sharing four new editions of our Family Network newsletter throughout the year. Each one will include upcoming events, helpful resources, family stories, and ideas to support you as you plan for the future and navigate the journey alongside your loved one.

We hope you’ll join us. The Perth County Family Network is all about families supporting families, learning from one another, and building a community where no one has to figure things out alone. We can’t wait to see you at an upcoming event!
